New Rule in Nationwide Series

Filed under: NASCAR Articles — Scott Voight @ 2:44 pm

A new rule for the 2009 Nationwide Series is that when there are 20 laps or less to go the field of cars will be in single file. Have you ever been on the highway and someone is in the outside lane or left lane going slow or the same speed as the car in the bottom or right lane? You go to the bottom when someone gets a little run on the car beside it and you hope you can clear the one in the other lane and make the pass. Well the same situation happens in NASCAR racing in past years the cars lined up in two columns and the cars racing for the win would get slowed down by cars that are a lap down and cannot keep up with the field. This way the favorites and fastest guys can race each other for the win.
