Camping World to Sponsor the NASCAR Truck Series

Filed under: NASCAR Articles — Scott Voight @ 2:49 pm

Camping World will replace Craftsman as the official sponsor of the NASCAR Truck series Division for 2009 and beyond. Craftsman was the official sponsor of the Truck series since its inception in 1995. They helped NASCAR to develop this up start division and develop the series into what it is today. However with the economic situation Sears, the holding company of the brand Craftsman, has decided to bow out and let Camping World carry the banner into the future.

Camping World is a good fit for NASCAR and the Truck Series with the influx in recent years of RV camping at NASCAR events.  Camping World has opened several new stores nationwide and provide temporary stores at events to enhance their camping experience.  Camping World began as a sponsor for Kevin Harvick and has developed into a major player in the NASCAR’s marketing strategies. From car sponsorships to event sponsorships and now to the series sponsor Camping World will be a part or NASCAR for years to come.

Marcus Lemones CEO of camping World went on to say they will continue to support the growth of NASCAR and they feel the sport provides a good clean family experience camping and watching one of the nation’s fastest growing sport.
