2010 NASCAR season preview

NASCAR changes the format for qualifing in the Camping World racing series.  No longer will the first 35 trucks in the standings be guaranteed a starting position in the races.  The safe quantity is reduced to 25 leaving 10 spots up for grabs, and one reserved for past champions. This puts them in line with the Nationwiides series.

The reasoning is to make qualifing more exciting for  the fans. It will also reduce the number of trucks from starting and parking each week just for the prize money. This will put a premium on starting positions in the future.  It will also give a level playing field for new drivers trying to break into NASCARS major racing series.
